Norcal Margarita

Hey guys, I know its friday and the majority of you WILL be drinking tonight (especially Musto and Jep). So lets not try to stray too far off the beaten path. I'm gonna hit you up with a little drinking knowledge that we picked up from the good old Robb Wolf.

Drink of Choice Recipe:
~The Norcal Margarita~
-2-3 oz of clear alcohol (i.e. tequila, Rum, Vodka)
- 1 fresh squeezed lime (if your at a bar just ask for a bunch of limes, dont be the tool bag that asks for fresh squeezed anything.. I doubt you'll get a pleasant response)
- Splash of Soda (thats club soda.. the term "soda" doesn't mean you get a choice of what terrible sugar-filled, carbonated beverage you'd like)

** Now don't get it confused, do I encourage drinking? No. Do I do it? Yes. Do I know you're going to do it? Yes! So just do your best to stick the regimen. Enjoy the weekend!**

    No bfast... Had to get me completely in the dark sleep even though i got home at 6am.

    Lunch.. 8-10 oz skirt steak

    dinner... 12-14 oz of grilled chicken with 1-2 tsp of mustard...

    3 stalks kale
    1 tbs natural bbq sauce
    1 tsp fish oil

    Sausage peppers and onion .685lbs
    half sweet potato

    3 oz grass fed beef
    half avocado
    1 cup spinach
    natural calm magnesium

    left over spaghetti squash with italian sausage tomato sauce

    half baked potato
    mixed steamed vegetables - corn,peas, brocolli,spinach

    1/4 cup almond milk ice cream, homemade caramel sauce

  4. MUSTO:

    Ok. I'm going to do my best to recap this weekend. I definitely stayed on the regimen to the best of my ability (I'd estimate about 70% of the weekend). However, this was definitely a bad weekend for me, filled with drinking and debauchery.

    Thursday-Saturday:
    OK being honest here. In the city for a birthday party and a going away party, problematic for my diet. Did well for most of the day Thursday, until I started drinking, then I ate a lot of huumus and wheaties and rasinets....and tostitos. On top of drinking. On top of 0 activity. Yeah, bad day(s). Pulled the number of our hot bartender though, I call that a paleo win.

    Got sick on Friday, strep throat type issues and terrible sinus congestion, haven't been 100% since.

    Friday: sick day, didn't eat much, then I did eat much

    Breakfast/Lunch (woke up at 2): Banana

    Snack: Apple, Coconut water (this stuff is liquid crystal meth and has the equivalent of 38 packs of sugar per can. It's a miracle drug if you're sick like I was, but the downside is you instantly become a diabetic.

    Dinner: Apx 2 Sushi rolls with brown rice, 5 sake bombs, and 4 shots of legally obtained four loko, breaking the seal in Tanzen

    Workout: AMRAP in 6 hours: Tackling friends into various snow piles around new york city, Doing pull ups on a packed subway car, throwing bowling balls, shoes, and ice cubes into 3 different lanes, all of which weren't ours

    Snack: 4 bud lights,

    Dessert: Removed ourselves from Lucky Strike Bowling before we were thrown out

    Late night drunk snack: 5 pizza bagel bites

    Fun note: I pulled a girl's number on the train ride home. She had all of her teeth and was very sightly. I say this diet is a gem.

    Other fun note: Will I call her? Probably not.

    Saturday: (still sick)
    Breakfast/Lunch: 3 egg white omlette with sliced turkey, peppers, onions, tomatoes, spinach
    - one pancake
    - one piece whole wheat toast

    Post-workout: Protein shake with apple juice, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, peach

    Dinner: Salad with grilled chicken, guacamole, tomato, onion, hot sauce....it was baller.

    Snack: one scoop vanilla ice cream (BURN ME)

    Workout: WARMUP: 10 deadlifts (155), 10 burpees, 30 wallballs (20 lbs), 10 pullups. WOD: 4 rounds 10 deadlifts (185), 7 pullups, 10 burpees for time. (10 mins)

    Cooldown: ran 1 mile on 7 incline (10 mins).

    Post-cooldown: Death.

    Sunday: Back on track (slightly):

    Brunch: 3 egg white omlette with sliced turkey, peppers, onions, tomatoes, spinach (nice.)
    - one pancake (eh.)
    - bowl of fruit (nice.)

    Snack: 3 handful of almonds, 2 spoonfuls organic peanut butter

    Dinner: 1 1/2 cans of tuna fish with hot sauce
